RESTore – Yoga Retreat in the Austrian Alps
May 29 - June 1
Do you feel like it’s time to recover from the hustle and bustle of everyday life? In our busy culture, it’s easy to get out of touch with your body and mind. Going into retreat is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and restore. Join Nancy and Carolin as we travel to Austria to retreat to the heart of the Austrian mountains. We will spend 3 nights and 4 days practicing yoga, enjoying nature and indulging in delicious food prepared by our private chef. Take this time for yourself and connect with fellow yogis in a small group (maximum 12 participants).
This retreat will be taught in English.
WAITLIST ONLY (FULLY BOOKED). Email to join waitlist.
Where we’ll stay:
We will stay at a luxury lodge in the beautiful ski and hiking area of Hochkönig near Salzburg in Austria. There are 7 bedrooms, most with en-suite bathrooms, a large living room with fireplace and a large terrace where we will do our yoga sessions. There is also a private sauna. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the alps all weekend long!
We have a variety of room options including double rooms (some with en-suite bathrooms, others with shared bathrooms) as well as shared bedrooms with single beds in bunkbeds. If you would like to request a private room, please let us know and we will try to make it possible (extra charge).
Traveling all the way from Denton, TX, executive chef Sheena Croft (of Hannah’s Off the Square restaurant and @chefsheenacroft on instagram) will prepare delicious nourishing meals, smoothies and snacks throughout the retreat. All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) as well as non-alcoholic beverages are included in the retreat price, so there’s absolutely nothing you need to do except show up and enjoy yourself! We will also have a Mindfulness Meal. This will be a guided meditation dinner led by Nancy.
And of course we want to do lots of yoga! We will start the day with optional sunrise meditation and a slow flow or dynamic yoga class (hatha / vinyasa) right before breakfast. We will close each day with a calming yin-style yoga class to calm the mind right before getting a wonderful night’s rest. The yoga classes will either be done in our big living room or out on the terrace if the weather permits. Nancy and Carolin will lead you through the classes, sometimes together. All are welcome! Whether you are an experienced yogi or a newcomer. Find more about Nancy and Carolin below.
Enjoy the sauna or the fireplace in the lounge area, get a massage, or explore the beautiful area. There are summer lifts free of charge as well as hiking buses and swimming pools close by.

Your hosts and yoga teachers:
Texas native Nancy Nelson is a 500 hour Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor and lives a quiet and joy-filled life with her husband, young son and cuddly hound dog. Nancy’s yoga journey began after the loss of a close friend. She found her time on the mat to be a welcoming place to walk through the healing process and to reconnect with what ultimately matters in this life. Nancy graduated from both the 200 and 300 hour Yoga Training programs at Inspire Yoga and works to create a safe space for her students to tune in to their truest needs, practicing yoga and life from the inside out. Her goal is to leave practitioners feeling encouraged and reconnected at the end of each class experience. Nancy has a passion for the introspective and nurturing practice of yin yoga and has completed the 50-hour Intensive teacher training with Bernie Clark and Diana Batts. She has a passion for travel and the beautiful hills of Austria have a special place in her heart!
German-American Carolin Körner lives and teaches vinyasa and yin yoga in Hamburg, Germany. Slowly but surely, yoga has planted a seed in her which has grown into something very special and changed her life for the better, giving her the courage to quit her office job as business psychologist and human resources manager and pursue a new career. She is convinced that yoga plants a seed in everyone; you just need to take care of it in order for it to grow and become visible. It could be a small flower which makes everyday life easier or just better or a big tree, changing your life big time. She has completed a 200 hour vinyasa flow teacher training at Damn Good Yoga in Hamburg and has since then added a variety of different teacher trainings, such as “Breathe to Heal” with Max Strom and a 50 hour yin yoga teacher training with Bernie Clark and Diana Batts. Having been raised bilingual by her US-American mother, she enjoys doing and teaching yoga in both languages.
