On my blog you will find posts that contain yoga asanas, sequences, and inspiration. I work full-time in the yoga world leading regular weekly classes,  immersion workshops such as Understanding + Teaching Yin Yoga & Thrive Program, and 200 Hour Teacher Trainings through Inspire Yoga. I also manage a wonderful studio for Inspire Yoga in little ole’ Denton, Texas, where I get to work with fabulous instructors and a tight-knit student base. It’s a dream come true!

Styles of yoga I teach/practice:

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a deep stretching practice that goes beyond muscular flexibility and delves into the tension created around the joints, specifically targeting buildup in facia and other connective tissues. The longer holds in this transformational practice allow for connective tissues to release tension and revive mobility.  This is an excellent style of yoga to compliment any physically-demanding exercise or lifestyle. Yin has changed my life and perspective and it is a practice worth pursuing!

Vinyasa/Hatha Yoga: 

Vinyasa simply means to link one pose to the next in a synchronized and rhythmic form. These sequences are practiced (usually) in a heated space and offer a nice jolt of creativity to the practice. I love creating movements that feel awesome in the body and refresh the mind.

    Hi Nancy I am doing ying yoga for kidney and is fantastic… I am overweight.. Can I loose weight with yoga and at the same time tone my muscule… I am in a alkalline diet also… I have to loose avout 30 pounds 😞

It warms my heart to hear from the folks who are able to utilize the sequences and thoughts I have to share! YES, I just developed my Understanding + Teaching Yin Yoga series which can be done in a weekend immersion. I am currently booking for spring/summer of 2018 and hoping to get it solidified in the next month.
